Principal's Message

Dear students, parents, and staff,

As we head into our winter break, I want to thank you for your support through the first part of the school year. We are officially done with our first semester.  We got a lot of things accomplished and are looking forward to the holidays and spending time with family and friends.  I want to wish you and your family the best during this time!

The first day back will be Monday, Jan. 8th.  A big thank you to all of the students and families that contributed to our canned food drive.  We raised over 600 cans!

Our objective at Cesar Chavez Middle School is to provide students with the opportunity to serve, to lead, and to fulfill their potential in all spheres so that they can take their place and succeed in the 21st century. We strive for students to experience a well-rounded program that helps them harness their uniqueness and strengths.

You, as parents, are the most critical part of our school success. You take an active and crucial role in providing an atmosphere that promotes education and quality work habits. Your support provides the foundation for students to come ready to learn. I strongly encourage you to be an active part of your child’s education by making sure they get to school on time and attend school regularly. Please ensure that your child reads each and every night.

As Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Please feel free to stop in or call to make an appointment to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make this the best year yet!

Sincerely,

Dr. Maria Pimienta
